Keeping a secret…especially from your husband and children

I realize that it’s not that difficult for some people to keep secrets. Some people do so daily. Some people’s jobs require them to keep secrets. As a counselor, I was required to keep confidentiality of my clients, but that’s not quite the same as keeping secrets. Especially secrets that require you to hide things you do throughout the day. I am a very open person, and my husband never has to question what I do with my time, because he usually gets the run down every day. But recently, I decided to throw him a surprise birthday party.

Age is but a number, or so they say

Having just hit the quarter-century mark, I’ve come to realize something.
I’ve been trying, through a variety of strategies, not to appear like a teenager.
Blessed with a highly efficient metabolism that keeps me underweight, combined with a youthful face, it would be all too easy for me to put on a T-shirt and jeans, hunch my shoulders a bit, and blend in with a pack of high school or college kids. At the age of 25, I have absolutely no desire to.
(However, I may have missed my calling as an undercover cop. Oh, well.)

Men who make you
say "ahhh!"

Every once in a while you meet a man that gives you reason to pause. He doesn’t necessarily have to be hot or buff, but he just has that “ahhh” factor. Ladies you know what I’m talking about. It can be a dad playing with his child, or a young man on his knee proposing, or grandpa hugging grandma. There’s just that “ahhh” feeling that’s somewhat undeniable.
Well,
WLY&Me has decided to select an “ahhh man” for every issue. Our WLY&Me “secret panel” will scrutinize over the selection of men in our community...scrutiny which might consist of poking, prodding, sniffing and whatever necessary to determine if they are of true “ahhh” quality. We will also be looking for nominees or suggestions, so please send us your thoughts.
